Register today for Cecil County's premiere youth football & cheer program. We're now offering Flag Football for ages 4-6 and will begin our fourth season of competitive cheerleading!

Our purpose is to foster and advance youth sports for the youth in our area; while promoting academics, diversity, discipline, leadership and sportsmanship.
Our non-profit is focused on building character and leadership through sports, mentorship and other activities. Our primary program is our Youth Football & Cheerleading program in partnership with Cecil County Parks & Recreation. These programs offer Football & Cheerleading programs for youth ages ranging from 4-14 years old. Our teams are part of the Upper Chesapeake Youth Football League playing against opponents in the Harford & Baltimore County area. Initially as the Cecil Jaguars and later the Cecil Saints we’ve been a part of the UCYFL for over 15 years.
Four years ago I became the President of the program and after that season I began working on establishing a board in hopes to partner up with Cecil County Parks and Rec to improve our program facilities, and outreach. In 2018 we launched Cecil Wolfpack Football & Cheerleading in partnership with Cecil County Parks and Rec and debuted in our new home at the amazing Calvert Regional Park. Then in our second year the Cheerleading program took a huge step and began competition cheerleading in the Upper Chesapeake Cheer League.
Last year due to the national pandemic the UCYFL was canceled and therefore we didn’t have a 2020 season. This year we’re back better than ever and our board and the County staff are excited to roll up our sleeves and kick things off this year. We’re here to challenge your kids to reach their full potential as not only athletes, but scholars and individuals.

We're excited to announce we've promoted Coach Hassan Custis from 12U Offensive Coordinator to the 9U Head Coach. Coach Hassan has also been voted in as our Vice President of Football. ![]()

Coach Hassan has several years of experience in coaching youth football both here as well as in New York. He is a Montgomery County Police Officer and currently runs a sports program through their school system. Coach Hassan Custis Sr. is organized, detailed and brings a ton of energy on the field. ![]()

As many of you may have seen, I was recently announced as the new Head Coach of Elkton High School football. Before making this decision, I had countless conversations with family, friends, and fellow coaches to ensure it was the right move. Ultimately, I’m excited for the opportunity to continue mentoring the youth in our community at the next level.![]()

Naturally, this has led to some questions about what this means for Cecil Wolfpack. I want to be clear—Wolfpack is a huge part of my journey as a coach and a core part of who I am. When we started in 2017, I spent countless days and nights sketching logos, brainstorming ideas, securing locations, designing uniforms, and working alongside my wife, Cecil County Parks & Rec, and an incredible team to bring this vision to life. Over the years, people have come and gone, but Wolfpack has continued to grow.![]()

That vision isn’t going anywhere. I will remain on board as President of Cecil Wolfpack and continue leading our program. My wife, Kofi Ponzo, will also continue to serve as Vice President, further assisting in lightening my workload and ensuring the program runs smoothly. Thankfully, we expanded our board last year to better organize and distribute responsibilities, and that process will continue in 2025. We’re finalizing the addition of two amazing board members who, under my leadership, will assist with day-to-day football operations. Additionally, Cecil County Parks & Rec will be taking on more administrative tasks, including rosters and paperwork, to help streamline our efforts.![]()

Simply put—business will continue as usual. I will still be involved in planning, shaping, and maintaining the high standards and vision we set for Wolfpack Football & Cheer. Our program has a strong foundation and a dedicated board, and I will continue guiding that vision.![]()

On Fridays, I’ll be in Purple & Gold, but on Saturdays, you’ll still find me in Maroon & White.![]()

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved 14U Coach, Aaron Brooks. Coach Brooks wasn’t just a coach—he was a mentor, a role model, and a man who poured his heart into every player he encountered. His passion for the game was only rivaled by his selflessness and unwavering commitment to shaping young men both on and off the field.![]()

Coach Brooks gave his time, energy, and wisdom without hesitation, even without a kid in the program. He never sought recognition—only the success of those he guided. He taught his players not just how to block, but how to face life’s challenges with strength, discipline, and character. Back to Back big days for Wolfpack alumni. Today we congratulate Jasaan (Sani) Williams on his commitment to Elizabeth City State University! Sani was actually the face of our first Wolfpack video that we put out. He moved and continued to thrive in multiple sports in high school. Another proud day for us!
